Sustainability is an integral part of the Group's strategy. technotrans confirms this by establishing and pursuing strategic sustainability targets and committing to climate-neutral operations at its locations by 2030. As a basis for the targeted implementation of the sustainability targets, the global CO2e footprint was determined for the first time for 2020. The newly created Sustainability Management unit monitors progress and contributes to target achievement through active management.
Global decarbonization and the associated electrification are closely linked to technotrans' core competence of thermal management. With a comprehensive range of state-of-the-art solutions, technotrans supports its customers to reduce their CO2e emissions. technotrans lays the foundations for this right from the development stage, which takes particular account of aspects such as energy efficiency, recyclability, service life and the use of refrigerants that are as climate-friendly as possible and increasingly natural.
The Group underlines the path it has taken in terms of its own value creation by investing in energy efficiency and a sustainable energy supply, for example through photovoltaic systems or the use of green hydrogen. In addition, it is increasingly acting in the spirit of the circular economy by switching to fully recyclable transport packaging.
technotrans offers junior staff excellent career prospects through a wide range of training opportunities and high takeover rates. For existing employees, it has set itself the goal of continuously increasing investment in further training. The Group also aims to maintain a quota of female and diverse employees of 20 %, which is comparatively high for the mechanical and plant engineering sector.
technotrans also underscores its commitment to sustainable corporate governance in all its facets by joining the UN Global Compact and participating in the VDMA's Blue Competence sustainability initiative.
The CEO of technotrans SE bears departmental responsibility for the issue of sustainability throughout the group worldwide.
