Morphosys will leave the MDAX and TecDAX on 24 June, but won't join the SDAX. Heidelberger Druckmaschinen will remain in the SDAX and Elmos Semiconductor will be included in the TecDAX.
19 June 2024. FRANKFURT (Börse Frankfurt). STOXX has announced unscheduled changes to the index composition of the MDAX and TecDAX indices.
MorphoSys AG will be removed from the MDAX and TecDAX because the free float has fallen below ten per cent. According to the rules and regulations, chapter 5.4.2, the company therefore no longer fulfils the basic criteria for remaining in the blue chip indices, for which a free float of at least 10 percent is required.
MorphoSys AG will be removed from all blue chip indices on 24 June. MorphoSys would actually have been removed from the MDAX and included in the SDAX, as announced in the regular index review on 5 June. As the space is now free, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG will not be removed from the SDAX.
In the TecDAX, MorphoSys AG will be replaced by Elmos Semiconductor SE, also on 24 June.
The DAX, MDAX, SDAX and TecDAX combine the largest listed companies (by free float market capitalization) on the Regulated Market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange that meet all the basic criteria for index inclusion described in the DAX rules and regulations. The indices are reviewed on a quarterly basis. The Fast Exit and Fast Entry criteria are applied in the scheduled June review.
The next date for the scheduled review of the composition of the DAX index family is 4 September, 2024.
