Sustainability indices

Indices based on a sustainability approach fulfill three basic functions: They show investment opportunities for sustainability strategies, they are benchmarks for these strategies and they make it easier for investors to choose. Sustainability indices are almost all designed on the basis of a "best-in-class approach", often supplemented by positive-negative criteria. The indices differ significantly in terms of stock selection.
