About ISS ESG Ratings
The ISS ESG rating agency provides sustainability indicators for 1,800 companies.
ESG Corporate Ratings
The Corporate Rating assesses the sustainability performance of companies on the basis of an absolute best-in-class approach.
The ratings are shown on a scale from A+ (excellent) to D- (very poor) for the areas of environment, social affairs and corporate governance.
Companies with an overall rating above the industry-specific prime threshold are awarded prime status, which means that they meet demanding absolute ESG requirements.
A decile ranking also provides information on the ESG performance of a company compared to its competitors.
ISS ESG Performance Score
The score ranges from 0 to 100, with 100 being “very good”.
The ISS ESG Performance Score represents an absolute ESG rating. For the calculation, the individual ratings in the environmental, social and corporate governance areas are combined and aggregated.
SDG Impact Rating
Based on more than 100 data points, the SDG Impact Rating provides investors with a comprehensive assessment of a company's positive or negative impact on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. This impact is determined both at thematic level per SDG and in aggregate.
Companies are rated on a scale from -10 ('significant negative impact') to +10 ('significant positive impact').
