Pyrum Innovations AG is active in the growing recycling market for used tyres with its patented thermolysis technology. The thermolysis process developed by us is energy self-sufficient and, according to the Fraunhofer Institute, saves significantly more CO2-emissions than conventional recycling processes for used tyres and produces new, valuable secondary raw materials such as thermolysis oil, gas and recycled carbon black (rCB) from the rubber waste.
In this way, Pyrum closes the recycling loop, pursues a sustainable business model and is a pioneer in environmental protection at European level. In 2018, Pyrum Innovations AG was the first company in the waste tyre recycling sector to receive REACH registration from the European Chemicals Agency ECHA for the thermolysis oil it produces.
This means that the thermolysis oil is recognised as an official raw material that can be used in production processes. In addition, Pyrum has received ISCC PLUS certification for the thermolysis oil and the rCB. Both products are therefore recognised as sustainable and renewable raw materials.
These successes have also been recognised by international experts in the tyre industry. For example, Pyrum was honoured in the Best Tyre Recycling Innovation category at the first Recircle Awards and nominated for the Grand Prize for Small and Medium- Sized Enterprises by the German state of Saarland.
Pyrum shares are an attractive investment for shareholders and investors who are looking for secure value growth with sustainable future technology.
Environmental protection and sustainability are two of the most important challenges of our century. That is why we added the factor “Environment” to our existing quality management systems and underwent ISO 14001 certification in 2023. In the course of introducing the environmental management system, we tackled the subject of supply chains and sustainable procurement. We developed our own supplier code of conduct and defined ESG criteria for selecting suppliers. We help our customers become more sustainable by also addressing climate protection and supply chains. For example, we again won a silver medal in the EcoVadis sustainability ratings in 2023.
In March 2023, the company was awarded “very good” status by imug Rating. imug Rating is one of the leading German providers of sustainability ratings. The assessment is based on three criteria – ESG management, products/services and governance – and is based on the Principles of the UN Global Compact. The company was awarded full marks for products/services and governance in particular. We will continue to work on making our company even more sustainable.
