Investment certificate
A bearer bond without leverage linked to an underlying.
Investment certificates are bearer bonds that securitize the performance of the respective underlying assets, such as shares, indices, interest rates, currencies or commodities. They may be limited in their duration or not, they are usually devoid of regular revenues and come with a specified redemption amount.
Our glossary explains important financial terms and should not leave any questions unanswered. However, if you are missing a definition, please write to us at redaktion@deutsche-boerse.com. We will then include the term if possible.
