Liquidity Category
Each instrument in Xetra is assigned to a liquidity class A or B by means of a quarterly calculation of the level of liquidity in order to see if a Designated Sponsor is required. An instrument within liquidity category B needs the support of a Designated Sponsor to be continuously traded. Highly liquid instruments within category A can be traded continuously without the support of a Designated Sponsor.
Our glossary explains important financial terms and should not leave any questions unanswered. However, if you are missing a definition, please write to us at redaktion@deutsche-boerse.com. We will then include the term if possible.
