Shareholder rights
The guaranteed rights coming with the ownership of corporate shares.
By the purchase of shares, shareholders will be vested i.e. assured rights dealt with in the German Stock Corporation Act (AktG) and in the statutes of the corporation.
These rights include:
Right to participate in the Shareholder Meeting.
Voting rights at the Shareholder Meeting.
Right to vote at the Shareholder Meeting
Right to participate in company profits (dividends).
Subscription rights in the issuance of additional new shares.
Right to participate in the liquidation proceeds, should the corporation be dissolved.
Our glossary explains important financial terms and should not leave any questions unanswered. However, if you are missing a definition, please write to us at redaktion@deutsche-boerse.com. We will then include the term if possible.
